Goose Fair is organised annually by Tavistock Town Council, and this year, will be held on 12th October 2011. For many years, Dickensian Evening was organised entirely by the Chamber of Commerce.  However, with the setting up of a Business Improvement District (BID) in Tavistock, responsibility has now passed to the new BID company, who will look to build on the success of what is unquestionably one of Tavistock's 'red letter' days. Dickensian Evening attracts visitors from all over the country, many of whom return year after year. If you have never visited Tavistock on Dickensian Evening, make a note in your diary to do so this year.  You will not be disappointed, and we feel sure that having done so, you will want to come back again and again, to explore all that Tavistock has to offer.
