What does the Chamber DO?

  • It operates as a pressure group acting for the best interest of the business community in Tavistock.
  • It is a forum in which to raise issues which relate to your business and the Town.
  • It supports the business community by promoting a positive and progressive environment within Tavistock to create an exceptional place to do business.

How does it WORK?

All our efforts centre on one simple goal: to maximise all opportunities to promote and advance Tavistock at every level. We do this in many different tactical ways. We feel that we are a progressive Chamber, keen to influence decision making within the Town for the well-being of ALL businesses.

Key ACTIVITIES

On an annual basis, the Chamber organises several key events. These include:

  • Christmas Lights.
  • Dickensian Evening.
  • Tavistock in Bloom.
  • Tavistock Guide.

Do we have any FRIENDS?

Yes. We are very supportive of, and work with, many of the other local groups actively involved in developing a positive business environment within the town. The Chamber is highly proactive in liaising with the Town and Borough Councils on issues affecting the town and the business community.

Is it for ME?

The Chamber covers the entire Business District of Tavistock. As such, we welcome and need membership from all types and sizes of business; individual sole traders, medium sized companies and multi-national organisations. In this way the Town's best interests can be fully represented.
